Boudoir 101: What to Expect From a Session

Let’s be real… booking a boudoir session can feel a little nerve-wracking. You’re excited, but also thinking, What do I wear? How do I pose? Am I going to feel awkward? (Spoiler: You won’t.)

At Lune, our sessions are all about making you feel totally comfortable, confident, and completely yourself. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, stepping into your power, giving this session as a wedding, anniversary, or some other kind of gift, orrrr just doing this because you freaking deserve it, we’re here to guide you through the whole experience. No stiff poses, no pressure, just you looking and feeling like a goddess.

Before Your Session: Getting Ready

Once you book, fill out your questionnaire, and pay your session fee, we’ll shortly send over everything you need to know - what to bring, how to prep, and answers to all the little questions you might have. We’ll also chat about the vibe you’re going for. Moody and dramatic? Soft and romantic? Effortlessly cool, like you just woke up looking this good? (Which, honestly, you do.)

The Day Of: A Little Pampering, A Lot of Fun

When you walk into our cozy, all-female-owned space, you’ll be greeted like an old friend. We’ll have music playing, a calming (or celebratory!) drink waiting, and a space that feels safe, warm, and totally judgment-free.

If you’re getting hair and makeup done with our Something Ginger team, this is your time to sit back and relax while we pamper you. Then, we’ll go through your outfit choices, make any final tweaks, and ease into shooting. You don’t need to know a single thing about posing - that’s our job! We’ll guide you through every movement, every angle, making sure you look and feel amazing the entire time.

What to Wear: Whatever Makes You Feel Like That Girl

Some clients love lace and lingerie, others feel sexiest in an oversized sweater, a silk robe, jeans, or just a simple white sheet. There are no rules, believe it or not. If you feel incredible in it, bring it. And if you’re not sure? Bring options! We’ll help style your looks to match the energy you want to create. Oh, and we have a fully stocked client closet with tons of options, too!

After Your Session: Seeing Yourself the Way You Should See Yourself

Once we wrap, we’ll talk next steps. After carefully curating and editing your images, we’ll schedule a time for you to view your gallery either online or in-person. And this? This is the best part. Seeing yourself through this new lens as a strong, radiant, human being. So completely you. It is an experience like no other. This is where you get to choose your packages from digitals to albums to prints to purchase, allowing you to fully customize what you bring home with you.
